SONATA ARCTICA - THE NINTH HOUR (2016)

Después de varias decepciones con sus anteriores trabajos sin la creatividad de Jani Liimatainen la banda ya no fue la misma. Dos años después del lanzamiento de su último álbum ‘Pariah’s Child’ del 2014 la banda regresa con un nuevo Álbum que lleva por titulo "The Ninth Hour" que vio la luz el 7 de octubre de 2016. Tony Katto vocalista de la banda define la portada del disco de la siguiente manera: “La portada de nuestro noveno álbum de estudio ‘The Ninth Hour’ presenta un paisaje utópico en su fondo. La naturaleza y la tecnología humanan están en equilibrio. (…) En el centro tenemos un artilugio que nos mide. El depósito de la derecha representa el lado de la naturaleza sin humanos, y a la izquierda tenemos una distopía humana tras haber destrozado la naturaleza. La idea que tuve fue que si giro una manija, se giraría el reloj de arena en una dirección o la otra, y el depósito se vaciaría lentamente, borrándose ese futuro. (…) Nuestras decisiones definirán el futuro. No solo el de nuestra raza, sino el futuro del planeta entero. Necesitamos hacer sacrificios y en muchos casos nos arrepentiremos de las decisiones que hemos hecho”. Escuche este disco y todo apuntaba que iba a ser un fracaso hasta que el track #7 "Rise a Night" me hizo recordar a la Sonata Arctica del pasado y la hermosa balada "Candle Lawns" salvaron a este disco de la decepción. ALBUM RECOMENDADO!!!
